Statweer (“Statweer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Faith Moon application for iPhone, Apple Watch, and other supported Apple platforms (“Faith Moon” or the “App”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Faith Moon, why it is processed, where it may be stored, and the choices available to you.

Information Processed by Faith Moon

Prayer and fasting records

Faith Moon stores information you enter or generate in the App, including:

• Missed prayer and fasting counts.
• Changes made to those counts.
• Dates and times associated with changes.
• Prayer calculation preferences.
• Notification preferences.
• Display and sorting preferences.
• Your selected city, time zone, and location settings.

This information is used only to provide Faith Moon’s features, such as prayer tracking, prayer-time calculations, history, notifications, widgets, shortcuts, and synchronization between supported devices.

Prayer and fasting records may reveal information about your religious practices. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

Local storage and iCloud

Faith Moon stores app data locally on your device.

When iCloud is available for Faith Moon, certain records and preferences may also be synchronized through Apple’s CloudKit and iCloud key-value storage. This allows supported information to remain consistent across your Apple devices.

iCloud processing is provided by Apple and is associated with your Apple account. Apple’s handling of this information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Faith Moon may also synchronize selected settings between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity services.

Location Information

Faith Moon uses location information to determine your time zone, identify a nearby city, calculate prayer times, and keep prayer schedules accurate.

Approximate location based on IP address

During onboarding, Faith Moon may request an approximate city-level location from ipapi. This request sends your device’s IP address to ipapi, which returns information such as:

• Approximate city.
• Country or region.
• Approximate latitude and longitude.
• Time zone.

Faith Moon uses this information to suggest an initial location. ipapi states that IP-address queries may be retained temporarily in standard server logs. Its practices are described in the ipapi Privacy Policy.

Device location

If you choose “Current Location,” Faith Moon requests permission to access your device’s location. The App requests reduced-accuracy location by default.

The resulting location may include:

• Approximate or precise coordinates, depending on your device settings.
• City or place name.
• Region.
• Time zone.

Faith Moon may use Apple MapKit to search for places or convert coordinates into a human-readable city or address. These requests are processed by Apple.

If you explicitly enable background location access, Faith Moon may receive significant location changes so it can update your selected city and prayer schedule. You can disable location access at any time in your device’s Settings.

Your selected location is stored as an app preference and may be synchronized with your paired Apple Watch.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Faith Moon schedules local notifications for prayer times and related reminders.

Notification preferences and schedules are maintained on your device. Faith Moon does not use notifications for third-party advertising or marketing.

You can change or disable notifications in Faith Moon or in your device’s Settings.

Optional In-App Support Purchases

Faith Moon offers optional in-app purchases that allow users to support continued development.

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Statweer does not receive your payment-card number, bank account information, or Apple account credentials.

Faith Moon uses RevenueCat to:

• Retrieve available support products and prices.
• Process and validate purchases.
• Determine whether a support purchase is active.
• Restore previous purchases.
• Provide aggregated purchase analytics and reporting.

RevenueCat may process:

• An automatically generated anonymous App User ID.
• Purchase history and transaction information.
• Apple purchase receipts.
• Product identifiers.
• Purchase status.
• Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and related technical information.

Faith Moon currently does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or a custom account identifier. Purchase information is not used by Faith Moon for advertising or cross-app tracking.

RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf to provide purchase functionality. RevenueCat’s practices are described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Apple’s processing of App Store purchases is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Downloadable Audio and App Resources

Faith Moon may download optional Adhan audio files and related resource information from GitHub-hosted infrastructure.

As with a normal internet request, the hosting provider may receive technical information such as your IP address, request date and time, device networking information, and the requested file. Faith Moon does not use these downloads to create an advertising profile.

GitHub’s practices are described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Communications With Us

Faith Moon does not ask for your name or email address inside the App.

If you contact us by email or through another support channel, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as:

• Your name and email address.
• The contents of your message.
• Diagnostic details or screenshots you choose to include.

We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, protect the App, or comply with legal obligations.

Please do not include sensitive prayer records or other unnecessary personal information in support messages.

How We Use Information

Information described in this policy is processed to:

• Provide and maintain Faith Moon.
• Calculate prayer times.
• Store and synchronize your records and preferences.
• Schedule notifications.
• Provide optional purchase and restoration functionality.
• Download user-requested audio and app resources.
• Diagnose technical problems.
• Prevent fraud or misuse.
• Meet legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Where applicable, processing is based on providing the services you request, your consent—for example, location permission—or our legitimate interest in maintaining and securing the App.

Sharing of Information

We disclose information only as needed to operate Faith Moon, including to:

• Apple, for App Store purchases, iCloud synchronization, device services, location and MapKit functionality.
• RevenueCat, for purchase processing, validation, restoration, and purchase analytics.
• ipapi, for approximate IP-based location lookup.
• GitHub, when downloading optional Adhan audio and related resources.
• Government authorities or other parties when legally required or necessary to protect users, Statweer, or the public.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share information for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

International Data Transfers

Apple, RevenueCat, ipapi, GitHub, and their service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States.

These countries may have different data-protection laws. Each provider is responsible for the safeguards described in its applicable privacy policy and contractual commitments.

Data Retention

Information stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, reset the App, or delete the App.

Information synchronized through iCloud remains subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s retention practices. You may manage Faith Moon’s iCloud data through your Apple account and iCloud storage settings.

RevenueCat retains purchase and technical information according to its privacy policy and as necessary to provide purchase restoration, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

ipapi may retain IP-address requests temporarily in server logs.

Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal requirements.

Some purchase records may need to be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, or Statweer for accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes even after a deletion request.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

Because Faith Moon does not require an account, we may not be able to associate an anonymous RevenueCat purchase record with you without information supplied by you or Apple.

You can control much of the App’s processing directly:

• Disable location permission in device Settings.
• Disable background location access in device Settings.
• Disable notifications in device Settings.
• Select a city manually instead of using device location.
• Manage or delete Faith Moon’s iCloud data through your Apple account.
• Delete locally stored information by deleting the App.
• Contact us regarding privacy requests.

We may need to verify your request and may retain information where required by law.

Children’s Privacy

Faith Moon does not require an account and does not intentionally ask children to provide names, email addresses, or other direct contact information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through Faith Moon.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Third-party services are responsible for the security of information they process under their respective policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Faith Moon’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its App Store listing where appropriate.
