SMSniper Support

SMSniper helps you filter eligible SMS messages using your own rules and, if you choose, Cloud AI Filtering.

For help, email [email protected].

Enable SMS filtering

On your iPhone, open Settings → Apps → Messages → Unknown & Spam, then choose SMSniper under SMS Filtering. The settings path and available categories can vary by iOS version and region.

Apple controls which messages are eligible for filtering. SMSniper does not filter every conversation or scan your existing Messages history.

Create and test rules

Add a rule for the sender, message text, or both. Choose the destination for messages that match. You can use words and phrases, case-sensitive matching, or regular expressions.

Allow rules are checked before other rules. Your rules are processed on your iPhone before optional cloud classification. Use the app's message test screen to try a sender and message against your rules. Invalid or unsafe regular expressions do not match.

The free version supports up to 10 rules. Pro unlocks unlimited rules with a one-time purchase.

Cloud AI Filtering

Pro AI includes unlimited rules and optional Cloud AI Filtering. It is available through a monthly or yearly subscription, or a lifetime purchase; current availability and prices appear in the app.

Cloud AI Filtering is off by default and requires your consent. When enabled, only messages that do not match any local rule are sent with their sender and text over an encrypted connection to our service on Cloudflare's global network. Processing may occur outside your country. You can turn Cloud AI Filtering off in the app at any time.

Cloud classification can make mistakes. Check your filtered message folders regularly and add a rule for messages you want handled differently. If the cloud service cannot return a classification, SMSniper returns no filtering decision and iOS handles the message normally.

Read the SMSniper Privacy Policy before enabling Cloud AI Filtering.

Purchases, restoration, and cancellation

Use Restore Purchases in the app's purchase screen if a purchased feature is missing. Make sure you are using the Apple account that made the purchase. An internet connection is needed to verify or restore purchases.

Manage or cancel renewing subscriptions in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. For billing or refund requests, use Apple's purchase support.

Report a problem

Email [email protected] with your iOS version, SMSniper version, the affected feature, and what you expected to happen. For a filtering issue, a made-up example with the same structure is usually enough. Remove names, phone numbers, verification codes, account details, and other sensitive information before sharing a real message.

Never send your Apple account password or payment card details. We do not need them to help you.
